HUR is founded in the founder's basement. A track, a handful of cars, and a plan to keep the hobby alive locally.
Summer 2025
20Hz Audio & Security
A local business opens its doors. Thirteen regular members race weekly through the season, proof the club model works.

Back underground
Cold months back in the basement. The club keeps racing and keeps planning.
Summer 2026
Alzheimer's Society Peel
A partnership with purpose: HUR races at the Society's space and event proceeds partially fund their work.

Racing for the Alzheimer’s Society Peel
Our summer 2026 home is made possible by the Alzheimer’s Society Peel, and the partnership runs both ways: proceeds from HUR events partially fund the Society’s work. Fundraising outcomes are reported in aggregate, and events supporting the cause are flagged on the calendar at signup.

Why HUR exists
Hobby preservation
Local RC tracks are closing under high rent. Club racing in shared and partner spaces keeps the sport alive in Peel Region without a commercial lease.
STEM education
The Mini 4WD program teaches physics, technology, engineering, and math through building and racing, aimed squarely at getting youth into the hobby.
Community building
Focused outreach to Afro-Caribbean youth and deep roots in the Filipino community's existing hobby base. Racing is the excuse, community is the point.
